The owners of Possesso Uzzano have been our friends for many years now and their delightful farmhouse 'Ginestruzze' is one of our most popular holiday properties. We were delighted therefore when they decided to refurbish another large Tuscan farmhouse on their estate which has now become a firm favourite with our clients.

The area around Montespertoli is so picturesque - vineyard covered hillsides, olive groves in profusion, cypress trees and sunflowers mingling together in a riot of colour.

Montespertoli itself is a charming market town - 'The City of Wine' - where you can really enjoy the Italian way of life and from where you can travel easily to Florence, Siena and throughout the Chianti hills. There are ample places to eat out and fresh produce to tempt you when you fancy an evening barbecue with a glass or two of the owners' delicious wine.

Possesso Uzzano stands on the edge of a small cluster of buildings adjoining the owners' vineyard and has been carefully divided into three separate dwellings all with terracotta floors and beamed or vaulted ceilings. The kitchens and bathrooms are all of good quality and there is a useful shared laundry area.

The garden with swimming pool (14m x 7m) has good views to the hills and is a nice spot to return to at the end of a busy day sightseeing.

We feel that this excellent location with its caring and attentive owners will be an ideal base for a Tuscan holiday.

 

The three charming properties at Possesso Uzzano are arranged as follows -

CIPRESSINA
Property Ref. 110 - Sleeps 8

Ground floor entrance into hallway with arches. Door to sitting room (TV) and further wide arch through to the fitted dining/kitchen which also has a large Tuscan fireplace. (Gas cooker, oven, fridge, dishwasher.) Bathroom with shower. Stairs to first floor where there are four bedrooms - two doubles and two twins - and two bathrooms, one with shower plus further room with wc, basin and bidet.

Rear door from kitchen to patio where Cipressina has its own space for eating out of doors behind the house with garden table and chairs provided.

The two following properties are either available separately or can be combined by an inner connecting door at the front door, ground floor level, ideal for two families wishing to stay together.

PANORAMA
Property Ref. 111 - Sleeps 5

This property has its own entrance on the front of the building. Stone staircase leads to the first floor where there is a large sitting/dining room with Tuscan fireplace with barbecue (TV) and fitted kitchen (as above). The sitting area leads out onto a very pleasant terrace where you can eat out of doors and from where there are good views to the hills. Further stairs lead to the bedrooms - one large room with a double and a single bed and a second bedroom with double bed. Both bedrooms have views. Two bathrooms with shower - one is at bedroom level and one on the half landing part way down the stairs.

LIMONAIA
Property Ref. 112 - Sleeps 6

A well equipped and interestingly shaped house with its own small garden to the rear of the farmhouse. Entrance into large sitting/dining room which has an arched window, Tuscan fireplace and TV. Arched entrance via six steps to the kitchen area (cooker, oven, dishwasher and fridge). Kitchen and living areas have vaulted ceilings.

A second smaller sitting room is reached via three steps. There is also a cellar accessed from the lower sitting room. Stairs to three bedrooms - one double and two twins - and a good bathroom with shower. The double and one twin are connected by a spiral staircase and the twin is actually above the double built into the roof space and has some restricted headroom - ideal for children. Second shower room on ground floor.

These prices are inclusive of linen, towels, power, welcome pack and final clean. Maid service, if required, 8 Euros per hour. Heating, if used, is by meter. Extra bed/cot £36 per week (payable in advance). Cot available on request. Security deposit 150 Euros taken on arrival.

 

Additional Information At all properties towels are included with the linen. Please ask for the prices for Christmas if not stated. The Security deposit may be paid in the Sterling equivalent. Changeovers - bookings are from Saturday to Saturday unless otherwise stated (in low season changeover days can be more flexible - please ask). Arrivals are between 4pm and 7pm. Departure is by 10am. All properties are cleaned after your departure, but we do ask clients to leave their accommodation as they found it.
