Poderino di Asciano is a charming small farm estate where corn and sunflowers are grown. It sits at the edge of the 'Crete Senesi' and is just over 2 miles from the old, picturesque village of Asciano where you can find interesting museums, several good restaurants, supermarket, banks, pharmacy, post office and a variety of shops. There is also a train station, which is very useful to get to Siena if you prefer not to go by car. Siena is just 19 miles approximately from the estate and is also easy to reach by car on good country roads through the most picturesque countryside.

There are many other beautiful villages in the area such as Montalcino, Pienza, Montepulciano, Chianciano Terme, Chiusi, Rapolano Terme, which are all well worth a visit. Lake Trasimeno in Umbria is within easy travelling distance and closer by is Rapolano Terme, a spa town where you can enjoy a swim in a range of different pools and have a variety of beauty treatments at discounted rates, as guests of Poderino di Asciano.

Poderino di Asciano is made up of a recently restored old farmhouse, surrounded by well kept gardens, which has been carefully divided into five properties, one of which is used by the owners. The properties are tastefully furnished in modern rustic style. There is a good swimming pool for shared use (6m x 12m, depth 1.2-1.9m) in the garden.

Notes: Shared barbecue in the garden. Washing machine for shared use. Cot available on request. Central heating in all the properties. Breakfast can be arranged on request.

Tennis courts at Asciano and horse riding is available in the area (9 miles away). Two mountain bikes are available for guests of the property to use and more can be hired in Asciano if needed.

SUSINO
Property Ref. 690 - Sleeps 2+2

Accommodation is all on the ground floor. Entrance from its own garden area with gazebo for eating out of doors, into pretty sitting room/kitchen with double sofa bed, satellite TV and fireplace. Good modern fitted kitchen with four gas rings, electric oven and good sized fridge/freezer. Lovely double bedroom with iron bed. Modern bathroom with shower, basin, bidet and wc. Terracotta floors and beamed ceilings throughout.

PERO
Property Ref. 691 - Sleeps 4

Ground floor property at the rear of the house. Entrance from its own garden area with gazebo into small dining kitchen with four gas rings, electric oven, good sized fridge/freezer, satellite TV and easy chairs. Double bedroom with door to the garden and a twin room with beds that can be made into a double bed. (Please request at the time of booking.) Good modern bathroom with shower, basin, bidet and wc. Terracotta floors and vaulted ceilings throughout.

MELO
Property Ref. 692 - Sleeps 2+2

An external staircase leads up to a wide terrace with door to small shared hallway which gives access to MELO and PESCO. Melo's entrance leads into sitting room/kitchen with double sofa bed, fireplace and satellite TV. Modern fitted kitchen with good sized fridge/freezer, four gas rings, electric oven and windows on two sides, one of which looks down to the pool. Good double bedroom with views to the countryside. Modern bathroom with shower, basin, bidet and wc. Terracotta floors and beamed ceilings throughout.

PESCO
Property Ref. 693 - Sleeps 2+1

An external staircase leads up to a large terrace shared with MELO (as described above). Entrance from the terrace into sitting/dining room with single sofa bed, fireplace and satellite TV. Modern fitted kitchen with good sized fridge/freezer, four gas rings and electric oven. Double bedroom and bathroom with shower, basin, bidet and wc. Terracotta floors and beamed ceilings throughout.

PESCO and MELO share the large terrace in front of the entrance door for eating out of doors, from where there are beautiful views to the garden and the swimming pool.

These prices are inclusive of linen, towels, power and welcome pack. Security deposit 150 Euros taken on arrival. Heating: 13 Euros per day, firewood 8 Euros per basket. Final clean: 40 Euros including kitchen area, 30 Euros if kitchen is left cleaned - to be paid locally. Extra persons: Third person in Pesco and third and fourth persons in Melo and Susino - £70 per person, per week, payable at the time of booking. Dogs or cats accepted by prior arrangement: 30 Euros per pet per week.

 

Additional Information At all properties towels are included with the linen. Please ask for the prices for Christmas if not stated. The Security deposit may be paid in the Sterling equivalent. Changeovers - bookings are from Saturday to Saturday unless otherwise stated (in low season changeover days can be more flexible - please ask). Arrivals are between 4pm and 7pm. Departure is by 10am. All properties are cleaned after your departure, but we do ask clients to leave their accommodation as they found it.
