Podere Le Murelle is a little farm estate set high in the hills between the villages of Palaia and Partino between Pisa and Florence. The ten acre estate has olive groves, vineyards, an orchard and some woodland. There are superb views to the surrounding hills.

Clients will be most welcome to purchase the estate wine, olive oil, honey and fresh fruit and vegetables in season. Typical Tuscan dinners are available on request with the owners and cooking lessons offered - please enquire at time of booking.

This lovely old cottage dates from the 19th century and has been carefully restored with many original features and thoughtfully finished to a high standard.

Podere Le Murelle is an excellent base for visiting all parts of Tuscany. A day out in Florence can easily be accomplished by either car or train, and you are well placed for visits to Siena, San Gimignano, Pisa, the coast, Volterra and Lucca.

There are beaches less than an hour's drive away. The small hilltop town of Palaia has good local shopping including a restaurant.

There is a good supermarket at Capannoli (6 miles) and a train station at Pontedera (10 miles). Horse riding is available at Treggiaia (4 miles) and there is a public swimming pool at Peccioli 6 miles away.

This characterful cottage-style property offers good all round quality. We really do think that it would be a delightful spot for a honeymoon.

Podere Le Murelle is a cottage built on a sloping site with its own entrance from a little terrace at ground floor level into a beautifully furnished and very cosy sitting/dining room. Lovely Tuscan fireplace, a comfortable sofa, dining area and colour TV (radio with CD player and MP3 available). Sitting room leads to a small but well equipped fitted kitchen with gas hob, electric oven and fridge/freezer. Steep wooden stairs lead from the sitting room to the truly delightful double bedroom - a little bit of heaven (beware low beams). Four little windows offer good views to the surrounding hills. Door to bathroom - shower, basin, bidet and wc.

All the rooms have beautiful beamed ceilings and terracotta floors and the house is tastefully furnished in rustic style with many personal touches. Central heating.

Outside there is, in addition to the little terrace in front of the entrance, a large grassy area with a gazebo on the side of the cottage where you can eat or sunbathe. There is also a 'bowling' green and around the house are some beautiful old trees offering shade where you can relax during hotter times.
