This is one of our favourite properties and one where you can really relax and absorb the very essence of a Tuscan holiday.

This original Tuscan farmhouse sits alone in a peaceful hilly position on the outskirts of Montespertoli, and is approached down a quiet country lane surrounded by the owners' vineyards. It has open views to the south over the beautiful Tuscan countryside. Montespertoli (1km) is a pretty, small town with a selection of shops and some good places to eat. Florence, Siena and San Gimignano are all within easy travelling.

Our clients who have stayed here have fallen in love with this truly delightful and relaxing holiday home.

The large private swimming pool (14m x 7m x 2.4m at deepest point) is quite a feature of the property with a wealth of poolside furniture - it is kept spotlessly clean and even has underwater lights if you fancy an evening swim. The pool is beautifully situated in the olive grove, reached down a narrow path a few steps from the house. It is in an ideal place to really relax and forget the outside world - some of our clients found great difficulty in persuading themselves away for a day's sightseeing.

The farmhouse itself is very characterful and the outside has been little disturbed from its original form.

The spacious interior has been completely refurbished; it is bright and tastefully furnished and has beamed ceilings and terracotta tile floors. The property has a welcoming atmosphere with furnishings throughout in traditional style and with some lovely country pieces particularly in the bedrooms.

The charming and most hospitable owners have worked very hard to provide everything for your holiday comfort and you are most welcome to purchase wine, eggs and some fruits from the farm.

LE GINESTRUZZE

On the ground floor is a spacious typical old Tuscan kitchen with access to the terrace for eating out of doors. The kitchen is well-equipped (fridge/freezer, dishwasher, gas cooker and oven). There is a huge Tuscan fireplace and large dining table. A door leads to the ground floor sitting room (TV) with access to the outside terrace. The ground floor shower room features a shower, basin and wc.

A stone staircase leads to the first floor. There is a large double bedroom with en-suite bathroom (shower, basin and wc). There is also a second double bedroom with en-suite (shower, basin and wc) and two twin bedrooms and a further double bedroom. The main bathroom has shower, basin, bidet and wc - there is also a washing machine. Two cots are available on request.

Outside there is a garden with ample garden furniture, barbecue, table, chairs, umbrella and deck chairs.
