If you want to relax in the heart of Tuscany you can do it most successfully here in Petrognano deep in the hills of Chianti and surrounded by the most beautiful scenery.

The owners, a charming couple, have worked hard to retain the character of these lovely rustic buildings which make up the fattoria. All the properties are simply furnished. Outside there are pretty gardens and ample sitting out places for each property (garden furniture provided) and a lovely swimming pool (10m x 5m) on an elevated terrace just alongside the house. Children's play area and volleyball field.

Adjoining the farmhouse is a pretty private chapel, now no longer used, with the old bell still in place - a must for the photographers amongst you or the many 'Michelangelo's' who visit this beautiful area. There are five properties at Fattoria Semifonte in the characterful old building as pictured.

If you wish to eat out nearby the owners have created a beautiful restaurant which would cater for your every need - you can sit in the shade on the restaurant terrace and eat the local food prepared for you from the freshest produce. The estate wine, white and red, is very drinkable and the whole atmosphere very relaxing. It is advisable to book a table.

In our opinion this delightful location would be ideal for those wanting holiday accommodation in a very picturesque area with plenty of opportunities for touring to all the major sights of Tuscany.

 

Fattoria Semifonte is divided into the following five properties -

SAN PIETRO 1

Two adjacent apartments in the old farmhouse offering simple rustic style accommodation with good views across the valley from some windows. Both properties are reached at first floor level through a door from the courtyard next to the little chapel. Each apartment has two bedrooms - one double and one twin with four piece shower room - shower, basin, wc and bidet. Living room with open plan kitchen area (gas hob, fridge) and TV (Italian stations only). There are ample sitting out areas with garden furniture. Shared pool. Laundry service available on site at a small charge paid to the owner.

CAMILLA
Property Ref. 132 - Sleeps 4

This property is on two floors with its own entrance into ground floor sitting room/kitchen, with Tuscan fireplace (gas hob, fridge) and TV (Italian stations only). Upstairs two bedrooms (one double, one twin). Four piece shower room. Views from all main windows. Outside terrace, garden areas and shared swimming pool. Ample parking. Laundry service available on site at a small charge paid to the owner.

BERNADETTE
Property Ref. 133 - Sleeps 4

Reached via its own outside stone steps at the back of the house. Accommodation is at first floor level. Entrance hall leading to sitting/dining room with kitchen area (gas hob, fridge) and TV (Italian stations only). Two bedrooms, (one double, one twin). Four piece shower room. Views from all main windows. Pretty outside private garden area, shared swimming pool. Ample parking. Laundry service available on site at a small charge paid to the owner.

CAMPANELLINO
Property Ref. 134 - Sleeps 2+1+cot

A charming ground floor apartment next door to the little chapel and with its own terrace for dining out of doors from where there are views across the valley. Campanellino has been well presented with terracotta floors, beamed ceilings and some fine natural stone walls adding to the character.

Own entrance into double bedroom. Open archway through into open plan sitting/dining room with sofa bed (extra charge - please see tariff), Tuscan fireplace and kitchen area (gas hob, fridge) and TV (Italian stations only). Shower room. Furnishings throughout are in rustic style. A cot can be supplied on request (charged extra). Laundry service available on site at a small charge paid to the owner.

These prices are inclusive of linen, towels, power, welcome pack and final clean. Extra bed £45 per week/cot £28 per week (payable in advance). Please note: Campanellino sleeps 2 + cot + 1 in the sofa bed at £45 extra per week (payable in advance). Security deposit 150 Euros taken on arrival. Heating, if used, is by meter reading. Animals accepted 20 Euros paid locally. Gas stoves/firewood charged as used. 10% discount if more than one week is booked.

 

Additional Information At all properties towels are included with the linen. Please ask for the prices for Christmas if not stated. The Security deposit may be paid in the Sterling equivalent. Changeovers - bookings are from Saturday to Saturday unless otherwise stated (in low season changeover days can be more flexible - please ask). Arrivals are between 4pm and 7pm. Departure is by 10am. All properties are cleaned after your departure, but we do ask clients to leave their accommodation as they found it.
