Property Location

This is a beautiful old farmhouse, which has been carefully restored. It is reached up a steep but well surfaced metalled road and offers panoramic views across the valley to the picturesque little hilltop village of Buggiano, with its castle, a tower and Roman church. From the house and garden you can see as far as Montecatini Terme and on clear days it is even possible to pick out S. Miniato in the distance. Montecatini Terme has some lovely buildings and - in its heyday - was the haunt of the rich and famous, including the crowned heads of Europe who used to come here to 'take the waters'.

Casa Alleluja makes a good base from which to visit all the main sights of Tuscany with Florence and Pisa, Lucca and the beaches around Viareggio all within easy travelling distance. Siena, Volterra and S. Gimignano are all worth travelling a little bit further for and - if you have children in your party - make sure you don't miss a visit to the Pinocchio Park only a few miles away at Collodi.

There is good shopping and a restaurant at Borgo a Buggiano just over a mile away and a huge supermarket at Montecatini.

Outside the properties have their own wooded grounds of around four acres and there are extensive woodlands behind the house where you could enjoy walking. There is a lovely swimming pool (8m x 4m) reached up a short but steep path. There are panoramic views from the pool area and you will find the location very peaceful.

ALLELUJA

This beautiful old farmhouse is divided into three apartments and Alleluja is the largest.

This is a very spacious property on two floors with an entrance from the terrace into a small hallway with comfortably furnished sitting room. To the other side a large open dining/kitchen with fireplace (TV, gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer). Small storeroom with washing machine.

The first floor has a large double bedroom en-suite (bath, basin, bidet and wc). Another spacious double bedroom and a further twin. Family bathroom with bath, basin, bidet and wc.

The property is tastefully furnished in modern rustic style with some antiques, terracotta floors and beamed ceilings throughout.

There is a lovely terrace for eating outside with beautiful views which is accessed from the kitchen and it also has a pizza oven and barbecue. Wooded grounds as described previously.

CASCINA

Lovely, spacious ground floor apartment. There are three doors leading from the huge front terrace into the property (next door to Alleluja), one into the kitchen, one into the sitting room and one into the bedroom. There is a good sized modern fitted kitchen with fridge/freezer, hob and electric oven, washing machine. Pretty sitting room with double sofa bed, open fireplace and TV. From the sitting room an open arch leads into a nice double bedroom with beamed ceiling. Modern bathroom with shower, basin, bidet and wc. Cot available on request.

Garden furniture provided on the terrace in front of the property which has lovely views.

FIENILETTO

Pretty first floor apartment above CASCINA. As the farmhouse is on a sloping site, this property is on ground floor level up some steps at the side of the house.

There is a large terrace for eating out of doors. Two doors lead from the terrace into the property, one leads into a beautiful double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower, basin, bidet and wc. From the bedroom an arch leads into a comfortable sitting/dining room with double sofa bed, TV. Good fitted kitchen with big fridge/freezer, hob and electric oven. Door from the sitting room to terrace. There are beamed ceilings and terracotta floors throughout. Washing machine. Cot available on request.
