Tuscan Holidays can arrange car hire for you through Hertz, who we believe offer our clients competitive prices and reliability. There are no hidden costs or charges but rather the price you see is the price you pay.

Rates include: Additional driver, one way rental (for groups B, C, D, E, F and N only - all other groups subject to a local charge), unlimited mileage, super collision damage waiver, theft protection, airport charges, taxes.

Accessories: Payable in Euros + 20% tax.

Notes:

• Driver's minimum age is 25 with one year's full driving licence. Young drivers (23-24) allowed with a local charge of 10 Euros plus tax per day.
• No excess liability for accidental damage.
• Deposit required: Imprint of major credit card/cash 500 Euros.
• Tolerance: 59 minutes.
• Excess liability for theft: all groups 600 Euros plus VAT.
• Clients must make a formal report to Hertz of any accident with a third party or damage to the car. Failure to do so, or in cases of improper or unlawful use, an excess charge will be levied.
• At the end of the rental please return the car keys to the hire desk and formally close the rental contract and retain the former rental closure notice. This document will confirm details of any extra charges to be made to your credit card and will be required along with a copy of the rental contract in the event of any anomalies.

Terminology Explained

Additional Driver: The option of having an additional driver means that the renter can share the driving and enjoy every minute of the holiday.

One Way Rental: The Rent It Here/Leave It There service allows you to return your rental car to a rental location other than the pick up point. This service gives you greater flexibility when planning your ideal itinerary.

SCDW - Super Collision Damage Waiver: If the vehicle or any of its parts or accessories are damaged while on rental, no excess will be levied (as long as you have made a formal report to Hertz at the time of the incident - see notes). It does not cover any damage caused as a result of theft, attempted theft or vandalism.

Personal Accident Insurance: This provides protection for loss of life, disablement, injury and medical expenses.

TP - Theft Protection: If the vehicle is stolen or is the subject of an attempted theft or vandalism while on rental, TP limits your liability to the amount of the non-waivable excess provided that you have complied with all the terms of the rental agreement.

Unlimited Mileage: Unlimited mileage ensures that you can travel as many miles/kilometres as you wish during your rental at no extra cost.

Please Note: Your hire car should be delivered with a red warning triangle and sufficient fluorescent yellow jackets for all passengers. Please check at time of pick-up.
