"A huge thank you for a most wonderful holiday at the Gli Oleandri at Castelfiorentino - in particular our hosts who made us feel so very welcome. The house we had (Fienile) was amazing and they had thought of everything to make our holiday special. We were very central for visits to Florence, Sienna and many more great and beautiful locations. We were made welcome the moment we arrived and throughout our stay everything was done to make our stay enjoyable. Tuscany is most certainly at the top of my favourite places to visit and I would most certainly go back to Gli Oleandri, a great place to stay and a wonderful location. Thank you so much." (September 2013)
"Would you be kind enough to pass on our thanks to Luciano and Machena for the lovely week we spent in Casa Maria Luisa and for the wine they gave us during our stay and upon leaving. Our lack of Italian prevented us from saying much at all! We thought that the house was very well equipped and had everything we needed for cooking, eating and generally relaxing. It's in a lovely location, with great views from the swimming pool and is a pleasant 10 minute walk across the fields to the village. It was lovely to have seating areas at the front and back of the house so that we could always enjoy the sunshine. We would thoroughly recommend it! Thank you very much for all your help." (September 2013)
"Just a short note to say many thanks for your help with our booking and to express how delighted we were with the Badia di Morrona accommodation. The villa was perfect in every way and we really enjoyed our stay in Tuscany. Reingard was very helpful with our late arrival and made us feel very welcome the following morning. Excellent service all round and I would have no hesitation in recommending your company to friends and coming back to you again another time." (October 2012)
"A quick email to thank you for a wonderful stay last week in Tuscany. We really enjoyed it, especially the pool! I hope your guests this week enjoy it as much." (June 2012)
"I'd like to say a big thank you for this fantastic, relaxing Tuscan holiday. The house was just what we wanted...historic, beautiful and peaceful. Fantastic views and lovely people around. Many thanks to you and whoever was involved in the organising procedure. Many thanks!" (Family with 2 little boys, July 2012)
Tuscan Holidays is an independent agency who has been offering quality villas, apartments and farmhouses to rent in Tuscany for over 19 years. We are a family-run business with an excellent team and as such are able to offer you the personal and individual attention that your holiday deserves. Our self catering villas in Tuscany and their owners are all well-known to us. We pride ourselves on our local knowledge and on being able to answer any questions you may have with regards to one of our villas in Tuscany or maybe just local information about the surrounding area. The holiday accommodation we offer in Tuscany is of a good to very high standard and is comfortably furnished in typical Italian style.
We deal directly with our property owners or their authorised representatives, on behalf of whom we act as agents; and you deal directly with us, thus ensuring the best possible value for money on all the villas in Tuscany and holiday apartments in Tuscany that we feature. We also have our own holiday representatives living in Tuscany who will be available to you during your stay should the need occur.
Tuscan Holidays take the effort out of booking a self catering holiday to Tuscany. Wherever you decide to stay and whatever your requirements, be it a family villa holiday, special celebration or a romantic break for two in a Tuscany apartment, you can be assured of our first class and friendly service.
Tuscany has something for everyone - stunning scenery with glorious colours, culture, delicious food and wine, great shopping and beaches - it really is the perfect holiday destination.
All our self catering villas and apartments are in, or on the fringes of, that most beautiful area of Tuscany - Chianti - and a good number of these are actually in working vineyards where the owners will welcome you with warm hospitality. There can be few things to compare with the pleasure of watching the sun set drinking wine which has been lovingly made from the grapes you see in the fields around!
Days can be filled with soaking up some of the world's most dazzling works of art by Da Vinci, Michelangelo and Botticelli, by taking a tour to the top of the Leaning Tower of Pisa or visiting the magnificent Duomo in Florence, the enormous domed church that dominates the skyline. A trip to the many-towered town of San Gimignano is a must for its majestic towers and panoramic views, as is the stunning spectacle of the Palio in Siena - a daring bareback horse race held in July and August.
Whilst there are many treasures to experience in the region's impressive collection of museums and galleries, it is also easy to get off the beaten track into the Tuscan countryside to indulge in some of the excellent local food and wine.
Treasures can also be found in the numerous boutiques and specialist shops. There is nothing like carrying home a pair of shoes made the way only the Italians know how! A must-do is The Mall, a discount designer shopping centre south of Florence where those well-known labels abound!

"Summer 2010: What's left?"
"You've been waiting for a deal? You were too busy watching rubbish football? You just plain forgot it was summer? Whatever the reason, if you haven't sorted out your Holiday, Chris Haslam, is here to save the day.
Italy - If you're quick, you can grab Cipressina, a villa sleeping eight with a shared pool in a vineyard in Montespertoli, for £1,188, departing 31 July."

"Il Mandorlo, Tuscany, Italy - Tuscan Villa Sleeping 6. This may lack the architectural distinction of my other Tuscan suggestions - but we include it as an example of a good, standalone villa with pool that won't break the bank. The interiors are nicely done (beamed ceiling, terracotta floors, french windows onto the garden), and there's loads of outdoor space, too. Florence is 20 miles away, Siena 40 miles, and Pisa airport about an hour's drive."

"50 bargain villas in Europe...all for less than £200 per person, per week, at the height of summer. And they're in great locations, too."
"Casa Maria Fiorenza, Vinci, Tuscany, Italy - Tuscan Farmhouse Sleeping 4. A recently refurbished farmhouse, the property is now split into two apartments. Downstairs, there's room for four in neat accommodation, but the main attraction is the shared pool outside, edged with vineyards and enjoying lovely views to Montalbano. Vinci - the birthplace of Leonardo - is two miles away, and there are good rail connections with Florence."

"There's a pattern emerging here..."
"Not on sleeping terms...Tuscan Holidays has had a wave of demand for two bedroom properties...from couples. It has even had to create a special rate: £276 for a week at the (highly romantic) La Sughera villas. Are there really so many people who won't share a bed with their other half? "One lady told us it was because her husband snored so badly", the company says, "but we don't pry"."

"Classic Tuscany...for the price of a wet weekend in Blackpool?"
"It can be done: the trick is to go outside peak season and choose your accommodation carefully. Take La Sughera - two Tuscan farmhouses, on a 1,000 acre wine estate 20 miles from Pisa, that have been converted into five apartments. We know, that word makes the heart sink, but these are wonderful, full of charm and smoky smells from the open fireplaces, with thick stone walls, ancient tiled floors, and shuttered windows opening onto an indecently curvy vista of rolling vine-clad hills. The magnificence of Florence, Lucca and Siena is an easy drive away, you can taste the estate's excellent wines, and the pool is terrific."

Fattoria Vallorsi, Tuscany, Italy
"Marooned in rolling countryside - woods and vineyards - this lovely fattoria sits on an estate that produces 200,000 bottles of wine a year, so it's only right that you should knock back one or two of them while the kids splash in the shared pool, play on the swings and mess around on the wide lawns.
Accommodation is in the old farmhouse, neatly converted into four roomy, well-furnished apartments, and the top floor of the winery, which has two more. There's a shared barbecue, and bike hire is available, with tennis nearby, and lovely Lucca 25 miles down the road."
The Pegler family went to Fattoria Vallorsi
Michael, Tracy, Jessica, 4, and Erin, 2, loved the simple life in Tuscany. "For us, it's got everything," says Michael. "Great rural location, real character, a terrific pool and - as it's a working estate - an awful lot of very good wine. There are loads of kids there during the school holidays, and our two made friends easily. There's a great little family-friendly pizzeria just down the road, and the thermal baths at Casciana Terme: they're at body temperature, and Jessica and Erin liked floating about in them in their armbands. There aren't many places that are so beautiful and good for kids, too. It's special."
The Sunday Times Travel Section, December 18th 2005 - Vincent Crump chose Santo Pietro as his holiday highlight of 2005.
Villa Santo Pietro, Tuscany, Italy
"My dream is to restore a tumbledown Tuscan farmhouse as a secret retreat, like they do on the telly. It will be bare bricks and beams, with its own little orchard, swallows nesting in the barn and a pool overlooking time-battered hill towns spiked with poplars and castles. But why bother, when you can borrow Peter and Sue Jackson's place for £110 a head? The couple run Tuscan Holidays, and Santo Pietro is their own personal labour of love. We rolled up there to find wine chilling, sunhats on pegs, a plate of cherries "from next door's garden", even a photo album recording the restoration, so you can pretend you did the work yourself."
